Getting Hit by Life - Rocky Balboa

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uASVzkrEKgs

A colleague shared the clip with me. I wondered how can Rocky be inspiring? Then I thought about Rocky I and II. Both, were INSPIRING! Both, were more than movies. Well, they were more than Hollywood for me. I get a pleasant rush of energy, excitement, and motivation each and every time I happen upon a Rocky flick.

The message that Rocky delivers in the two minute scene has been communicated by fathers from all walks of life. What a message to share!

Let's keep pushing for our children. Our boys need us so much.

Peace.

yep. everyone. i just wish the issues plaguing the black community would go way with the black community facing them with truth and with dedication to what we are charged to do as black men and women. we are spitting in the face of those men and women (black and non-black) who marched/protested/died for a better day.

Now that is the truth!! taking total advantage of the life that blacks fought for....for years and so many died for the freedom that the black community has...can you imagine the world with "slavery" ....in terms of how it used to be...we have come so far but I sometimes think how far did we really come?

we came this far to squander it with foolishness. we are moving backwards in so many ways. even with the election of a black president. nothing really has changed for the black community still infested with hatred. got integration - but still have self hatred.

maybe its just integration on the surface! so sad that people don't see how important these issues really are....i see it everyday in the tons of programs we create to help those living in impoverished communities..primarily black communities in Baltimore.
